The club is involved in various organised leagues race and other competitions. In addition to these league events, there are many other races around the midlands region or nationally that members may enjoy.
All of these races are available on the club’s Calendar.
Road Race Leagues
Road racing occurs all year round but the road racing league season usually runs from January/February to September. The club are members of the following leagues:
Leicestershire Road Running League (LRRL)
The LRRL series of road races take place on Sunday mornings and attracts runners of all abilities. Races are over a range of distances from 5 miles to Half Marathon. Prices for these races vary by event and pre-registration is required for all races. The LRRL is divided into two separate Leagues:
- LRRL Spring League (formerly the ‘Winter League’): February-May. Entry is restricted to LRRL member clubs only.
- LRRL Summer League: June-September. Entry is open to the public.
All of our teams (Men’s, Ladies, Men’s Vets & Ladies Vets) are currently in Division One of the league. Click here for details of the full league structure and an explanation of how the league scoring works.
Currently the league races are oversubscribed and therefore entry to all races is online and is first-come-first-served.
