Beginners’ Running Groups
We run two beginners’ groups for anyone who wants to get started with running, keep fit and have fun!
1. An Absolute Beginners’ Group
As the name suggests this is for anyone who is new to running with little or even no experience at all but would like to give it a go.
It is a good entry level group with the emphasis on fun rather than fitness! It involves a mixture of running and walking, covering no more than 3 miles at a very gentle pace.
It takes place every Tuesday evening from 6-7pm and we meet outside Enderby Leisure Centre during the winter and outside Huncote Leisure Centre (Pavilion) during the summer.
From January 23rd we will also be running a Couch to 5K Programme for absolute beginners with no running experience at all.
2. An Advanced Beginners’ Group
This is for people who have ‘graduated’ from the 6pm Absolute Beginner group, people who may be returning to running after a break or people who have some experience but may feel uncomfortable for whatever reason joining a “proper” running group. It is still a confidence-building beginners’ group and we aim to cover a distance of 4 to 4.5 miles at a very gentle pace.
It takes place every Tuesday evening from 7-8pm and we meet outside Enderby Leisure Centre during the winter and outside Huncote Leisure Centre (Pavilion) during the summer.

Intermediate & Advanced Running Groups
We run a variety of groups in both our Tuesday and Thursday sessions that cater for a wide range of runners, from those that are able to run for an hour with little or no stopping to those more competitive looking to make the prize places in races.
The various groups will cover distances starting at approx. 5-6 miles and going up to maybe 10 miles in one session. In all groups there is still a focus on having fun!
You are welcome to run with us for a couple of weeks to make sure you enjoy running with us. After that, we would request that you become a member.
